Sometimes you receive emails or discover webpages at the wrong time, say an article you want to read after work or put off for a couple of hours.
I use these two Google Chrome Extensions all the time to snooze webpages and emails until later.
Once you discover the power of ActiveCampaign automations, you start to try to use them all over the place. For fixed date webinar email notifications you need to use a different method.
Overnight the automation on dates and times changed. See screenshot below. You can now select dates and times based on the users timezone. Just need this in the campaign send too…
Stop Emailing From Your Server
Out of the box your wordpress setup will send emails via your webserver. This is a bad idea especially if you are on hostgator see a message from my spam folder in Gmail this morning.
The problem is that the first thing a hacker may do with a hacked site is to send spam from the server. As you share servers with others you have no control over their security. So gmail has decide even before checking the spam blacklist that this email is probably spam.
Even if another site hasn’t been hacked, can you trust the other sites on this server not to create spam?
What you should be doing is using either your email system to route emails to (Look for WordPress SMTP plugins) or using an external email service such as Amazon SES, Sendgrid or Mandrill.
This means the email does not come from your server but a system with a deliverability team trying to make sure your emails get through.
The other thing to do is not send the default emails from membership systems etc… lots of very similar emails looks like spam.
